ISTRC 19th Triennial  Symposium: Don’t miss the opportunity to visit Roots and Tubers organizations in Kenya.

The ISTRC Local Organizing Committee has organized field excursions on the 3rd and  4th day of the conference, Wednesday 23rd November 2022, and Thursday, 24th November 2022 from  11 am.

This is part of the conference package for all registered participants. To book a visit, you are requested to register to visit one of the four exciting sites. There are limited slots for each site that will be allocated on a first come first basis.

Site 1 Visit ILRI Biosciences Facilities -Learn  more about the only hub in Africa for biosciences on 23rd Nov. 2022
Site 2 Visit KALRO Tigoni National Potato Research centre. See the new potato technologies and innovations on  24th Nov. 2022
Site 3 Visit Burton and Bamber SweeTunda for value-added orange flesh sweet potato products on 24th Nov. 2022
Site 4 Visit KEPHIS_ Muguga Campus. Learn more about the Quarantine and  Biosecurity Services for root and tuber crops. Here you will also see CIP germplasm conservation and  breeding facilities for potato and sweet potatoes on 24th Nov. 2022
